John 18:33b-37

Pilate said to Jesus,
“Are you the King of the Jews?”
Jesus answered, “Do you say this on your own
or have others told you about me?”
Pilate answered, “I am not a Jew, am I?
Your own nation and the chief priests handed you over to me.
What have you done?”
Jesus answered, “My kingdom does not belong to this world.
If my kingdom did belong to this world,
my attendants would be fighting
to keep me from being handed over to the Jews.
But as it is, my kingdom is not here.”
So Pilate said to him, “Then you are a king?”
Jesus answered, “You say I am a king.
For this I was born and for this I came into the world,
to testify to the truth.
Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice.”

Gospel Reflection:

Jesus is King

In the busyness of daily life, it’s easy to become preoccupied and forget to pray or worship the Lord, our God. For some, it seems they don’t care at all. But no matter what we think or do as humans, one truth remains unchanged: Jesus is King—King of all, King of the universe.

Wherever we are and whatever we do, this truth holds firm.

Each day, I strive to keep Jesus at the center of my heart and life. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords, and I carry Him with me even in my work. Sharing the Gospel, especially in the workplace, isn’t always easy, but the Lord calls us to be His witnesses.

In my own small ways, I try to reflect Jesus in my actions, hoping that others might see His light and truth through me. Even if my efforts are unnoticed or misunderstood, I continue to pray that the Lord will use me to share His Word and touch the lives of others.

Jesus is King, and my daily prayer is to live in a way that honors Him and brings His love to the world around me.

Long Live, Christ the King!
